Founder-led sales on LinkedIn: how to turn posts into pipeline
The short version: post in your own voice at least three times a week, connect with the people who buy, and give it months, not weeks. Here is how, from the team that has run LinkedIn for 50+ founders and executives.
By the Senecia team · Updated October 2026Why should founders post on LinkedIn?
Buyers check the founder before they take a call. A founder who posts every week has already answered their first questions: who you are, how you think and whether you know their problem.
It also compounds. Every post reaches buyers, investors and future hires at once, and a network built on LinkedIn stays with you across companies.
If you sell to businesses, LinkedIn brings you buyers. If you sell to consumers, it rarely sells the product, but it brings investors, retail and distribution partners, and senior hires.
What should a founder post on LinkedIn?
Six post types that work for founders. Mix them across the month.
- 01
The launch post
What you built, who it is for and one number that proves it works. The most shared post a founder writes.
- 02
The customer story
One customer, the problem they had and what changed. Buyers see themselves in it.
- 03
The lesson or mistake
Something you got wrong and what you do now. Honest posts build trust faster than wins.
- 04
Behind the build
How a decision got made, what you tried and dropped. Shows how you think.
- 05
The hiring or team post
Who joined and why. Signals momentum to buyers, investors and candidates at once.
- 06
The strong opinion
A view on your industry you can defend. It is how people learn what you stand for.
How often should a founder post on LinkedIn?
Post at least three times a week. If you have more to say, post every weekday, one post a day at most, in different formats: text posts, carousels and polls. Consistency matters more than volume: the same buyers seeing your name every week is what builds recognition.
Post on weekdays, when your buyers are at work. Then spend the first hour after posting replying to comments, because early replies help a post travel further.
Four channels, one buyer list
For founder-led B2B companies: the buyers you would call yourself, if you had the time.
- Your leaders’ posts. Your posts, and your leaders’ when you are ready, in your voice and approved by you.
- LinkedIn outreach. Comments on buyers’ posts, connection requests and DMs to the whole list. Included from Pipeline.
- Cold email. Short founder-to-buyer emails, from inboxes on separate sending domains so your main domain stays clean. About 1,000 ICP buyers a month on Meetings.
- Your website visitors. Companies reading your site are identified and reached in your name. On Meetings. Person-level identification works mainly for US visitors, and not every visitor can be identified.
- Signals decide who goes first. Site visits, profile views, engagement with competitors’ posts, job changes, funding and hiring decide who goes first.
Posts build authority. Outreach turns it into conversations, without you running another tool. AI drafts, finds buyers and sorts replies. A strategist sets your positioning and ICP, you approve every post, and our team reviews outreach and handles every reply. How AI-led lead generation works.
Leads and authority, through your leaders. From $249 a month.
Your leaders’ posts, LinkedIn outreach, cold email and your site visitors, all aimed at one list of your ICP buyers. AI does the volume, people review it. No setup fee, no minimum term.
Revenue as clients report it. Not a promised result.
Who should a founder connect with on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn shows each post to your network first. If your network is old colleagues and classmates, your posts stop there.
Connect with the people who can buy, invest or join: the roles, company sizes, industries and regions you sell to. We send requests in small daily batches and only to people who match, so your account stays safe.
How long until LinkedIn brings in deals?
Expect your posts to reach the right people in the first month, recognition in two to three months, and warmer conversations from about month three. Deals follow trust, and trust takes repetition.
Nobody can promise a deal from a post. What you can control is showing up every week in front of the right people.
Should founders write their own posts or use a ghostwriter?
It depends on your time. Here are the four options.
| Cost | Your time | What you get | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Write it yourself | Free | Several hours a week | Your own posts, publishing and networking |
| AI writing tool | $39 to $199 a month | A few hours a week | Drafts you edit, then post and network yourself |
| Freelance ghostwriter | $1,200 to $5,000 a month | An hour or two a week | Usually 4 to 12 posts, no networking |
| Senecia | $249 to $999 a month | About 10 minutes a week | 10 to 20 posts, with LinkedIn outreach to your ICP buyers from Pipeline and email outbound from Meetings |
